Alier is an experienced data scientist and educator with a passion for promoting equal access to data science education. With over 6 years of healthcare analytics experience, he has held various positions, including Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Director, and Senior Director. In addition to his more than 5 years as a university lecturer, Alier has demonstrated his teaching prowess in a variety of subjects. As the co-founder and president of JIT, Alier’s primary objective is to nurture the upcoming generation of South Sudanese data scientists and analysts. Dedicated to staying current with the latest developments in the field, he shares his expertise through his LinkedIn, YouTube, and GitHub profiles under the handle @tongakuot. Alier’s areas of interest include data science, statistics, financial engineering, and machine learning. In 2020, he received the HSC Mercy Award from Lifepoint Health, acknowledging his commitment to excellence in healthcare and community service.
Gai is the co-founder, v. president, and evangelist at JIT. He is dedicated to spiritual and community development through Biblical teachings and local projects. Gai believes that JIT’s work is essential for the growth, development, and prosperity of diaspora and South Sudanese communities, and he emphasizes the importance of exceeding expectations through excellence, guided by Biblical teachings, ethics, and transparency. With a background in church leadership and mission trips to South Sudan, Gai is committed to improving the well-being of people both in diaspora and back home.
Abraham is a highly disciplined accounting professional with 12 years of expertise in effectively maintaining accurate accounting information for large-scale organizations across various industries, including financial services, manufacturing, and utility services. His organized and efficient practices have consistently met company goals, demonstrating his proficiency in financial reporting and management. In addition to his accounting career, Atem has spent 8 years as an associate professor at Collin College, where he has shared his knowledge with students, positively influencing their future career trajectories and setting them up for success in the field.
Reuben is a highly accomplished environmental scientist and geologist who possesses extensive expertise garnered over several years of distinguished service both in the public and private sectors. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and actively engages in various initiatives aimed at giving back to society. As a co-founder of JIT, Reuben serves as the organization’s director of public relations, leveraging his vast knowledge and skills to advance its mission and promote its objectives.
